To install, position the directional arrow in the direction of water flow. The Y filter comes with a 150-mesh filter that's easily removable for maintenance; just unscrew the flush cap or cleanout cap, remove the middle housing, and pull out the filter to clean. The Y Filter is made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), and contains a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) washer with polyester filter, all treated with UV inhibitors
